Health at Every Size (HAES)® is an approach to health and wellness that encourages a move away from using weight as the go-to indicator of health and wellbeing and instead look to other, more reliable indicators. When we practice Health at Every Size® we may actively engage in health promoting behaviours such as mindful eating, moving our bodies for fun, and engaging in loving self care. With HAES®, we embrace body diversity and practice radical self acceptance – no matter our body size.
Join Sydney Bell, MSW at Body Brave to learn about this revolutionary way of thinking about weight and health that paves the way to freedom from body shame and the diet treadmill.
